The Baltimore Basilica, America's First Cathedral invites you to a Spring Concert Series presented by An die Musik Live! At 7:00 PM, enjoy an evening of ANTONIO VIVALDI. The Vivaldi Project is dedicated to presenting truly dramatic performances of 18th Century ensemble music on period instruments, by presenting familiar works in new ways: sharing anecdotes about the composer and the piece, collaborating with other artists including actors and dancers, adding extra performance elements that give the audience a real insight into music they thought they knew. Baltimore Theatre Project, 45 West Preston Street presents Under the Table Ensemble Theatre in SOLO: A Two-Person Show at 3 :00 PM.  This tragic comedy by Under the Table, a New-York based ensemble theatre, has been hailed as “a superbly funny and deeply moving piece done with remarkable conviction and energy” by Daniel Stein of the Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theatre. Monday, June 2

The Maryland Bible Society, 9 E. Franklin Street will hold a Special Sale throughout the month of June honoring Fathers, Grandfathers and all men with a 20% discount on all study Bibles and men's devotional Bibles in the Bible House, now in its 199th year of providing Scripture in 20 plus English translations, Spanish, and many foreign languages. C. Grimaldis Gallery, 523 N. Charles Street will host an opening reception from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM for two new exhibitions: John Van Alstine: Olympic Circles - Works from the Beijing Series. Selected from over 2800 worldwide entries, John Van Alstine’s large scale sculpture proposal Circle of Inclusion - Ring of Unity is among 25 of the non-Chinese projects to be commissioned and installed for the new Olympic Park complex by the City of Beijing for the 2008 Summer Games. Works from the Olympic Circles series will be featured in this exhibition at the C. Grimaldis Gallery. The HCSA, WTMD and Baltimore City Recreation and Parks present 1st Thursdays, free outdoor concerts and special events all summer long in West Mount Vernon Park. Sotto Sopra, 405 N. Charles Street will be opening up the Sotto Sopra kitchen for a cooking class getting you ready with recipes for those hot summer months. Executive Chef Bill Crouse will host a demonstration class from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM with some optional hands-on participation. The Enoch Pratt Free Library, 400 Cathedral Street presents Writers' Live! at The Pratt featuring C. Fraser Smith“Here Lies Jim Crowe: Civil Rights in Maryland” at 7:00 PM. First Unitarian Church of Baltimore presents an All-Bach piano concert in the Enoch Pratt Parish Hall, 514 N. Charles Street at 2:00 PM. Pianist William Larson brings an all-Bach program as the final concert in First Unitarian's Cultural Series.
